Sidney Poitier as Lieutenant Virgil Tibbs is back once again to fight injustice - this time on the San Francisco streets. Poitier is brilliant as the rebel policeman who helps a group of vigilante-minded idealists bust an international drug ring - and who finds a whole lot more than he bargained for, including mob infiltration in the police force and a series of grisly murders.
